Karen McCandless: Community Action and economic class

Speaker: Karen McCandless

Chaplain Karen McCandless is the Executive Director of Community Action Services and Food Bank and is a certified Bridges Out of Poverty lifetime trainer. She has a degree from BYU in Geography with an emphasis in Urban and Regional Planning. Karen served on the Orem City Council from 2001-2014, worked in the public and private sectors as a land use planner, and is passionate about building strong communities.

Karen will be talking about two things: Community Action and an overview of how economic class affects our communities.

Meeting begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. with live music.
